Tullio Serafin (1878-1968) was an Italian conductor who made significant contributions to the world of opera.
He made his debut in 1898 in Ferrara, conducting "L'Elisir d'Amore." Throughout his career, Serafin worked in various cities, including Venice and Turin, before achieving international recognition.
Work in La Scala and Covent Garden
From 1909 to 1911, Serafin served as the principal conductor at La Scala, where he participated in the Italian premieres of Weber's operas "Der Freischütz" and "Oberon." He also made history as the first conductor to perform Montemezzi's opera "L'amore dei tre re" in 1913 in Milan.
Serafin's talent and expertise led him to work at Covent Garden in London, where he conducted numerous productio
