- 1913 - was born in the Olkhovo, Vologda province.
- 1932 - he graduated from the Cherepovets Mechanical Technical School, after which he worked for 3 years as a shift mechanic at the Arkhangelsk Power Plant.
- 1939 - he graduated with honors from the Arkhangelsk Medical Institute, and in 1940 - with honors from the All-Union Correspondence Industrial Institute.
During the Great Patriotic War, he was the leading surgeon of the field hospital at the front.
