In the 1970s, at the age of 40 you were definitely considered ‘past it’. Past the time to settle down. Past the time to be making waves, rocking the boat and definitely past the time for a woman to get involved with a punk band!
She will be remembered as a unique voice in rock music (never mind punk) an original political thinker and writer, and her band, Poison Girls, were ground zero for the anarcho-feminist movement that exploded in the 80s.
