Seraphim Falls and Code Black director David Von Ancken dies aged 56 after battle with stomach cancer
TV director David Von Ancken has died aged 56.
According to Variety, the Seraphim Falls director died at his home in Agoura Hills, California following a two-year battle with aggressive stomach cancer.
Known lovingly as ‘DVA’, the prolific director worked on a multitude of famous TV shows as well as several film projects.
Von Ancken’s partner in life and business, Meg London-Boche, said in a statement: ‘David was the kind of person who walked into a room and you couldn’t help but immediately gravitate towards him.
‘His vibrant energy towards life and years of personal adventures carried into his extraordinary direction of television and film.
He was constantly formulating stories in his mind and always eager to share them with the world.’
